Saint Nicholas Day!

“The hall for refugees from Ukraine is decorated, gilded… and ready to receive guests. Garlands of lights twinkle on the walls, fresh, clean air smells of a beautiful Christmas tree and tangerines. An announcement of something amazing, unresolved, divine, because there are so many emotions ahead of us, because we are impatiently waiting for the main character… and then this moment comes, the expected and desired guest appears. Santa Claus in a red suit, which symbolizes goodness, with a long beard and a silver staff in his hands And of course with guests, not only for children, but also for adults. Children welcome Santa Claus with poems, dances and Ukrainian songs. They showed all the beauty and talent of our nation, tried to share a part of the Ukrainian soul, to get into the hearts of our Polish friends. These speeches can be treated as a thank you to Poles for helping Ukrainians. And even more moving was the fact that children and adults excited with joy, with tears in their eyes, went on stage and having received gifts from Santa Claus, they took a picture with him.

It was wonderful, beautiful and unforgettable!!!

At the end, Santa Claus the Miracle Worker treated everyone to sweets and drinks. But such a magical, enchanted holiday took place thanks to you, your help, Father Marek. We, refugees, admire your kindness! We sincerely thank you on behalf of every person in our center for your humanity and selfless work. You found strength, courage and kindness in yourself, you work for charity, it germinated in your heart and you awaken it in others. It has become a way of life for you. You give not only material values, but also hope that together we will overcome all difficulties. We wish you sincere grace, health and happiness! Thank you for everything! This is our joint thanksgiving that flows from the heart, it is a scent that rises to the sky, it is a prayer, and it is beautiful!!!”
