Christi meeting
Christ came to this world to give us life and become the savior of all. To bring people to God, free them from sins, give them hope and eternal life.
He appears on earth in human form, endowed with human characteristics. He lives among us and sees everything, how you rejoice, how you grieve, how you endure, how you suffer… Christ wants obedience from us, respect for His Word, for His commandments. And we, believers, try to imitate Him.
During the Holy Mass, led by the President of the Foundation, Fr. Dr. Marek Machała, we prayed for peace and quiet in Ukraine, because this is the strongest weapon and great protection that we can and should use against war.
After the service, a joint dinner awaited us in the hall. Fr. Marek blessed the wafers… the moment of silent prayer came… we thank you, our God and Father, for this white bread – the wafer, the fruit of the earth and human labor. We gathered to share the wafer and express holiday wishes. It was something extraordinary, moving, exciting, magical, because in the symbol of breaking bread, love, kindness and peace were shared.
After the spiritual feast, we moved on to enjoying light, tasty salads, delicious dishes, sweets, juicy fruits and drinks.
At that time, our children performed on the stage near the beautiful Christmas tree. They sang Ukrainian and Polish songs, carols and danced. Everything, as usual, was interesting, wonderful, unmatched! The song “GIVE YOUR HAND TO UKRAINIA”, created by the Polish group “Taraka” and dedicated to Ukrainians, made a special impression. It reflects the spirit of freedom, fear, experiences – it is a request… pain… tears… the voice of hearts. Feel the depth of the tragedy of the Ukrainian nation!!!
Father Marek! Thank you for feeling the pain of Ukraine and helping us spiritually and humanely. You are not indifferent to the problems of others and you support those who are most in need. The Lord will thank you abundantly for your good deeds, for your sensitive heart, open soul and kindness.
We ended the ceremony sincerely and sweetly, praising the NEWBORN JESUS in the prayerful silence of our hearts and the ringing carols!
