END OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE PODKARPACKIE VOIVODE FOR COLLECTIVE ACCOMMODATION CENTERS (OZZ)

A new phase of support – the Voivode ends financial assistance for OZZ in Podkarpacie 🌱🌎

On March 30, a delegation from the Social Policy Department of the Voivodeship Office in Rzeszów visited our center and met with the residents. The purpose of the meeting was to inform us about the termination of funding for all Collective Accommodation Centers (OZZ) in the Podkarpacie region as of June 30, 2026.

Previous assurances that financial support for our center would continue for another year have proven to be no longer valid. The Podkarpackie Voivode has decided to end the support, informing both centers and beneficiaries three months in advance.

This is a difficult and unexpected situation for the refugees living in OZZ facilities. The decision leaves many uncertainties for residents and individuals receiving government assistance. In the coming period, we will work to clarify possible paths of further support and organize alternative forms of assistance offered by our foundation in cooperation with partners and donors.

Although this decision comes as a surprise both to us — the foundation team — and to the beneficiaries of the regional support program, we choose to remain grateful. We sincerely thank the representatives of the Voivodeship Office for their personal visit, for speaking with each resident, assessing individual family and living situations, and providing all necessary information.

We are grateful for nearly two years of financial and substantive support for the OZZ center operated by our foundation. Thank you for the excellent and effective cooperation. We are currently working on adjusting our strategy, reshaping our support activities, and further diversifying our sources of funding. Our goal is to ensure that each resident has the space to make the best possible decision for themselves.
