NEW AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF PRZEMYŚL – WE CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE REFUGEE ACCOMMODATION CENTRE
💙 Important news from the Pastoral Care for Families Foundation!
After days of negotiations, we have signed the final agreement with the City of Przemyśl to continue operating the Collective Accommodation Centre (OZZ) for refugees.
The past few months have been a time of uncertainty, but also of effective, coordinated action and a concrete response from the local authorities.
On behalf of the residents of the Collective Accommodation Centre in Przemyśl:
🙌🏻 We would like to thank the Mayor of Przemyśl, representatives of the Przemyśl City Office, staff of the Social Policy Department of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Office in Rzeszów, representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, as well as our colleagues from other organisations who supported us throughout the negotiation process.
🙌🏻 We are also grateful for the challenging decisions and circumstances which, paradoxically, accelerated the introduction of new solutions. Despite what felt like open-heart surgery on the entire system, many things have ultimately changed for the better.
What does this mean in practice?
• access to public healthcare and other available services for OZZ residents,
• systemic support and continued cooperation with local authorities,
• greater financial stability and the opportunity for our organisation to continue developing.
💙 The Pastoral Care for Families Foundation provides accommodation, meals and comprehensive support to people in greatest need, with particular emphasis on migrants and refugees.
🏠 Our Centre provides free accommodation and meals within the Collective Accommodation Centre (OZZ) for people eligible for the government support programme under the Act of 23 January 2026 on the phasing out of measures introduced under the Act on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of Ukraine and on Amendments to Certain Other Acts.
